i want to buy a digital camera but i dont' know where i can go where there are not as expensive. is walmart okay? or should i go to circuit city, best buy, or some other place? but i think the cameras there are really expensive. how about costco? please help!!! are they other stores i can go to? i don'y want websites.

Circuit City is usually really good. So is walmart. what I would do is go to the websits, check for prices, but go to the store to buy iy. Oh yeah, try target too.

Depending on the camera you want, if you want a good point and shoot for personal pictures and video, go to Costco or Bestbuy, they have really good cameras, and warentees, which you definatly want to buy.
If you want a good expensive camera, buy a canon or a nikon, those are the best on the market, Canons can be found at Best Buy and Costco, but a good place to also look is their website but most of those run about $1000 or higher
if your getting a small camera get an HP, Panisonic, or a Sony…

well since u specifically said no websites id have to say best buy or circuit city would be your best bet. they both have similar prices and should have people there who are able to help you make your final decision

Wal-mart is a very good choice, but make sure to keep the reciept, cause the warrantee is void after the first 3 months. If you want to insure it will never mess up on you, you can rent to own at rent a center or something, they will put insurance on it, but you end up paying 3 times the amount for it.

Online is the only place I'd buy a camera. Amazon.com is excellent because you get discounted prices and free shipping plus plenty of reviews.
But since you're one of those, I don't own a credit card, must buy from a store types, at least do your homework online before comparing prices at various stores.
Amazon.com has tons of reviews from which to make an educated decision. Also check PC World for camera reviews before even looking at a store. A pretty color and discount price does not make a camera good.

i got mine at wolf camera, although its retail but it has all camera you want, some needs to be order in. i suggest dont buy at places like best buy because if you switch your mind and return, it take 14% of your money if its open, it happen to me.

Go to bestbuy stores. They have huge sale on long weekends such as Memorial day weekend. But if you think the price is too high then see which model you like and note down the Model name and number etc. and then go to http://www.bhphotovideo.com or http://www.abesofmaine.com. (After spending a week at searching the stores and net, I brought my camera from them. They offered me the best price, free shipping, trusted, secured & Very smooth transaction). What I did was went to bestbuy and after few trials, chose a camera I liked and noted the model info and price and searched on net to find best price. And if you still want to double check the lowest price then go to http://www.nextag.com and enter the model number in search. It will show you the store who sells it for lowest price. (But dont forget to check the shipping costs as well. Some might give free shipping. Also note in each stores what accessories are offered along with the camera. Just add everything up and see whose offer is the best). Be carefull of the bad selling websites. I recomend you to buy either from http://www.abesofmaine.com or http://www.bhphotovideo.com cos I give you good review for them. I had heard about these two sellers from lot of people and so i decided to check them out and now I am glad I did.
