had one from germany but i lost it and am now on a mission to see if i can get anything similar in the u.s. so im looking for a place that sells hats and maybe they will have something simliar to mine.

probably at a hat store (in a big city). But I don't see how nowadays a brick-and-mortar hat store would still be in business. I don't see it a profitable business. And even if there was such a store somewhere in US, chances are you would not live nearby to just go pick it up.
So I say to you, Internet is your best bet. You can research from the comfort of your home and have it shipped to you.
