Bra size help. Where to buy 30 F?

April 18th, 2008 · 6 Comments

Serious answers, especially from similarly small-ribcaged women would be helpful. Thanks!

I used to be able to wear Victoria's Secret when I was ten pound heavier and a 34 DD, but now I've lost weight, and my band size is incredibly uncomfortable.

I have to get a back massage every night, and it's awkward to explain to friends that you have an F cup size when you look so small. I have small bones and a small frame, and I'm tall, so my breasts don't look that big for F's. I guess I'm just complaining that bra sizes are so hard to find and sound so huge when they're not! The volume of my chest really isn't that big.

I've also been able to wear some 32 E and 32 DDD, but I prefer 30 band size if at all possible.

I just can't handle paying the $60 per bra when they barely last 3 months.

figleaves, bravissimo, brastop, and knickerbox have all been helpful, but with the US dollar being so low, I'm still paying like $50 per bra. Help!
Thanks! As to wearing a 32 in VS: They only carry D, and that won't cover half of my breasts, especially the one square inch I really want covered. Thanks for the idea though.

I have e's myself and have actually had the best luck shopping at plus size stores for my bras. Places like Lane Bryant or Avenue. I hope that helps some…

I would look around your area for any specialty lingerie shops- many of those can offer customized bras, and do special ordering for sizes that are uncommon like yours. We have one in my town that specializes in sizes up to GG, and will do customizations (tailoring), fittings, and special orders.

Another option would be to find a good tailor, and buy an F cup size with whatever band size you can get- and have the tailor alter it.

Have you been measured by Victoria's Secret? Even though you are so small, it seems it would be better on your back to wear a 32 even though they don't carry an F. Also, they may know of a store that carries your size so you won't have to order online. I did find Bare Necessities online. They are the most expensive, but there may be some on sale. There is another website link below. Also, you can find some good deals on ebay. I could not find any stores that you could go to. See if these have return policies if they don't fit right. Hope this helps. Good luck.
