Dems to Buy Houses where No One Wants to Live & Gas Prices Make it Too Expensive to Dive the Long Distances.?

May 28th, 2008 · 5 Comments

Why are the Dems forcing Uncle Sam to bailout mortgages in areas where (1) people no longer want to live because (2) the commute is too expensive because gas prices are too high to allow people to drive far?

i wish i knew what you were talking about. but let me assure you that there are millions of workers in NYC who commute everyday. Some take the train, others drive. Nothing has changed, except the price of gas.
when they tire of paying 80 - 100 dollars each work day because they drive from the suburbs, they will take public transpo.
but you seem more worried than the average commuter.

you are making a lot of assumptions that aren't true.

The reason is that it is harming the housing market to put those up for sale. There are too many. Until the housing market calms the economy is going down.

      I agree.

I am so sick of people who make 70-100 a year moving into 300,000 houses they can afford and then wanting us to bail them out! We bought a house within our budget, but you tax us more and then we, too, won't be able to afford it!

Sell the house, the SUV, get in an apartment and start over! It is NOT my fault!!!
