  Edit : bookieboo, there are many different kinds of Betta's usually the females do have the small fins, but there is a different species of Betta's that do have shorter fins…look at that site, scroll down to the Betta's you'll see them there.

  hmm realy a short tailed male betta….. ?? i was always told that the males had the long pretty fins and the female were the short finned ones

  I agree with the first one that answered Fish4Life has a lot of quality fish. But if you want you could try aquabid which has also bettas but not as beautiful .. I bought one from aquabid maybe 5 months ago and i ended up disappointed. So i decided to buy from Fish4Life
