We got to play with one at a pet shop and my family and I fell in love with it! We've wanted one ever since. All the Victorian Bulldogs we've checked out online are all $1000 or more including the deworming, shipping, shots, ect. We would go for something cheaper and it would have to be withen a 4 hr. drive from Princeton, IL. If you know a good website to find Victorian Bulldog puppies for sale, that'd be great. Thanks!

The Victorian Bulldog isn't a breed. You can get English, French and American but not Victorian.

I have seen sooo many questions like this here in the last few days for some reason…
I don’t understand how to get through to people that it is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to find a purebred dog for a cheap price these days. Reputable breeders put a lot of money into whelping their puppies and making sure they are happy and healthy etc etc before they go to a good home, and they charge a fairly high price for the puppies so that they can be compensated for what they put into the dog.
If you want a good dog at a cheap price, go to the pound and find a good mixed breed to save.
You are more likely to get struck by lightning while skinny dipping in the Nile than you are to find a healthy Bulldog for 100 dollars or less.

NEVER buy dogs from a dog store. look into 'puppy mills' and you will see why i say this. go to the pound. many people think they are there for having temperment issues. that is not true. yes, some are there for that reason. but some are also there b/c their owners could no longer take care of them. when you go, dont pick one that looks all scared and is shivering in the back of the cage, or one that is barking wildly and looks ferocious. pick on that has love in his/her eyes and that is wagging his tail.

There isnt such thing as a Victorian Bulldog.
You can get an English Bulldog but expect to pay atleast $1200 and up for one from a reputable breeder. And don't support petstores. All there dogs are from puppymills.

There first of all is no such thing as a Victorian Bulldog.
Secondly, there are 3 bulldog ads in the paper today. One is selling them for 1,500$ , one is selling them for 2,000$ and another they are running 3,000$. Those are one of the most expensive breeds because they are so lazy that they have to have artificial insemination and a c-section.

A Bulldog rescue organization is the most humane and the adoption fee may run $100.

Dont get it from a pet store here is a good breeder. It isnt in your price range. though.http://www.puppyfind.com/for_sale/?breed_id=31&order_by=rand&back=%2Fbreed%2F%3Fbreed_id%3D31%26back%3D%252Fsearch%252F%253Fsubmit%253D1%2526str%253Dbulldog%2526page%253D1&sid=f76945e177b24b5e0333d484d0d74f00&country=248&state=IL

As everyone has already said, there's no such thing as a Victorian Bulldog. A responsible breeder would never have them because they don't exist.
Secondly, as people have said, bulldogs are very expensive. You will NEVER find a good one for less than $200. You may come across one in a shelter or rescue, but a responsibly bred bulldog is going to cost you $1,000+.
I would recommend you check out http://www.petfinder.com and google "bulldog rescue". What type of bulldog are you looking for? I'm assuming an english bulldog, so just google "english bulldog rescue". Unless you can dish out $1,000+ for one, you may want to consider a different breed.

There you go
We got our purebreed white german shepherd through Petfinder.
Don't let anybody tell you that you can't find anything but a mutt through adoption. Check out the dog's profiles, look at the pictures and set up an appointment with the doggies you like to meet them. They're all pre-screened for disease, character flaws and any other problems.
You'll get a dog for an adoption fee that'll run between $150 and $250 and give a new chance for life to an animal looking desperately for a new home.
Consider all the mixes too - they make the best pets and won't have as many problems with their health.
(we wanted a mutt, but ended up with a purebreed by coincidence)
Good luck!

I don't see how a Vectorian Bulldog can be a breed as it appears that someone mixed several breeds together and made up this name. Now, their are many breeds that have been recognized by the AKC after many, many, many generations of intercrossing, not by someone who just "decided" to mix it up a bit and give it a new name. 1985, did you read that part, and also no inherited defects. Give me a break. All of the breeds mentioned that went into this dog have a ton of defects to inherit.

The "victorian bulldog" is actually a mixed breed dog.. its a combination of bulldogs and some mastiff breeds.
You can find a mutt at your local shelter for less than $100.

Cavalier gal…dogbreedinfo.com is not a good place to rely on for dog information. It is full of MIS-information (though some of their content is legitimate). This site is a HAVEN for puppymills to sell their dogs! Victorian Bulldogs are no more a breed than a Cock-a-Poo or a Labradoodle. They're all mixed breeds.
As far as the question goes, you can't find a Bulldog that cheap. There are 3 recognized types of bulldog: Bulldog (Formerly known as the English Bulldog), French Bulldog, and the American Bulldog. That's it. The Olde English and the Victorian are mutts, not recognized, and probably won't be recognized in my lifetime.

What on earth is a Victorian bulldog?? I have never even heard that phrase before. I think someone might be messing with you on that one.
