I have a coupon-can you explain this to me?

April 15th, 2008 · 3 Comments

Okay I use the coolsavings.com website to print coupons. I have never had a problem until now. A store that I regularly use these at is now denying them. EXAMPLE: This week CVS has excedrin on sale for $2.00. I have an excedrin coupon for $2 off any size bottle. So that would be free. I have 5 coupons and the limit is 5 bottles at CVS. The coupon directions say:One coupon valid for item(s) indicated. One coupon per purchase on product indicated . This is what I am arguing with the store about- can I buy 5 bottles and use 5 coupons in one transaction (as i always have) or can I only use 1 coupon even though I am buying 5 bottles? What do the directions mean? One per bottle or one per entire transaction?

You can only use one coupon at a time.

Usually it means one item per entire transaction.

Oh la la la pass me an excedrin. It seems to me that Excedrin normally sells for much more than $2.00 per bottle. I think your coupon may only be good if you are attempting to buy an item that is selling for MSRP, which if you don't watch The Price Is Right, refers to Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price. It looks like maybe CVS did not know what coolsavings.com was doing.
