customer buys items and uses 29.00 dollars worth of coupons. returns items later in day and wants full face value of product. her reasoning is that the store is going to submit coupons for payment from manufacturers so she wants total price of items returned. result she gets more money then what she paid for the items.

no, because the transactions between her and you are separate from you and the supplier. coupons clearly state they have no cash value, thus buying an item at discount and returning it for the full value is essentially trying to get money for the coupon. she only lost the money she paid thus she should not gain more money in return. no company is going to fall for her scam nor will it hold up in any court of law.

all depends on the terms and condition that printed on the coupon.no way she can do that. The only thing she can do is just exchange another item for the same value that she bought. No cash will be given to replace the coupon.

If it's the same day why not just give back the coupons? This is a common problem. The rationale that the store is going to get the money is sound but to buy things and bring them back just to get the money is also a scam. Maybe there should be a limit of how long to wait. Such as if I buy something and discover a few days later it's the wrong thing then full refund because the store has submitted coupon and will get reimbursed. Like I said if same day customer should get coupons back. If you're talking about groceries. A clothing store and the like doesn't give full value. You lose the coupon.
