I live in North Carolina and im new to the modern weapons, and ive heard the AK is a good semi-auto rifle to use for say just training with. I hope that the price isnt too much. Around $300-$500 is ok though.

Baseball33, we know why virgina tech happened, because another name for a "gun free zone" is a "victim rich environment"
Remember, two tools allowed a crazy man to kill. A gun and a chain. The gun was illegal for him to have but his state drug it's feet regarding inputting the proper data. Why does no one speak out about the chain? To buy a chain you should have to show you have a dog for a dog chain, or a car, for a towing chain.
One armed student (remember, not all students are pimply faced 20 year olds) or one armed staffer would have ended that shooting.

Or this one Note the news media downplayed that these guys were armed.

This may be a bit too obvious but you could look in the Yellow Pages under "guns".

a good AK rifle will cost $700 to $1,000 and only be purchased from a federally licensed firearms dealer in your area.

If you fine one for $300-$500 you better buy it.
All I seen was running around $750-$1100

Ok listen closely go to a website that sells Saiga rifles and buy a 7.63×39 Saiga. Now buy the Ak-47 furniture set and the conversion to use hi-cap mags. Presto! An AK-47 variant in under 500 bucks.

I'll assume you have checked the local gun shops and they didnt have what you want…… Check out Shotgun News…… There are a ton of dealers in there that sell the AK47 Rifle you want…… There are several different models and grades of Kalashnikov's there….. Of course you can not buy directly from them…… The firearm will have to be shipped to a local gun shop where you would pay a small fee, fill out the paperwork and pick it up…. SEE THE BELOW LINK

I would visit a local Gun Show. You can get a good AK or SKS for under 500 bucks and a ton of surplus ammo in 7.62×39 to boot. Just make sure you get one that has already been cleaned of all the cosmolene or you will be hating life until you get all that nasty sticky stuff off of every little tiny piece as well as what has seeped into the fibers of the wood.

A really good one is the ones Lancaster makes. I paid $550 but it's guaranteed for life. Chrome line bore, tapco t2 trigger, and can take drums, with professionally finish wood (mine was laminate, an improvement). I had trigger walk the first time I took it out but that because I got mine with a scope mount and they forgot to grind a notch in the trigger pin retainer. They fixed it for free and paid for shipping and refinished the whole thing for free because the dust cover was not size properly the first time merely aesthetic but was nice of them. Really good guys with excellent service.

I agree with the Yellow Pages under "GUNS" suggestion.
