If it takes standard batteries, such as AA or AAA, you can get some rechargeable batteries at most stores. Select the ones with the highest mAh rating you can find, 2500mAh is the highest and will last longer than alkaline batteries. My rechargeable batteries get about 400 images before I need to repalce them.

If you prefer, you can buy Lithium batteries designed for digital cameras. These give the longest life in digital cameras, but they are not rechargeable. With Lithium batteries, you can get up to about 600 images.

The best option is to get several rechargeable batteries and carry some spares with you. This way, when the batteries run down, you can replace them. Make sure you charge the batteries the night before you use them. Rechargeable batteries lose their charge as they sit. I keep 4 on charge at all times, so I have 2 sets ready to go at any moment.

Your camera uses the Kodak Lithium-Ion batteries which are the state of the art batteries (Li-ion) for digital cameras. They hold their charges longer and can last up to five or more years.

That said, my thought is that you need to learn some energy management skills to keep your camera up and running.

      * Unless absolutely necessary, keep the LCD turned off. Since your camera has no viewfinder, that means that as soon as you have finished shooting the shot, turn off the camera.
      * Remember that zooming, using the flash and auto-focus uses battery power, so use them sparingly.
      * Refrain from showing off your images to your friends using the LCD.

Using those energy saving steps will help your camera battery realize its potential. You should be able to get at least 250 shots per charge using a energy management checklist

Rechargeable batteries are the best because you don't have to keep buying batteries. get the batteries and charger at Sam's club or wal-mart.

According to kodak.com, your camera can use

"optional KODAK EASYSHARE Docks with KODAK Ni-MH Rechargeable Battery Pack; 2AA batteries (Ni-MH, Lithium, or Oxy-Alkaline)"

I would recommend to buy NiMH rechargeable AA batteries (2600 mAh or above). Alkaline batteries do not have enough power for digital cameras and they are not good for the environment.
