I'm going to be moving out on my own for the first time, and am curious where the best places to look for coupons are. I've heard that you can get them online, but no one specifies where or how. I've tried going directly to a products website but they always want my personal information for me to "register" before giving me the coupon.
Where can I find coupons for household cleaners and food items, without selling my soul to the 'net ?!
Thank you!
I've found Coupons.com and looked through what they offer. Is this a legitimate site? I'd hate to print out coupons and then have someone look at me like I'm crazy when I go to use it.

If you get the Sunday paper, they always give coupons out, but if you're looking for a specific coupon, search online on google, and they'll probably have it for you

the Sunday paper always have them, so get it or if you know someone who don't use them get theirs, but you probably going to have to sign up if you gunna get them off line. and if you want other things for your house or apartment, that's for a cheap price check out rwbest.com everything is 46% off and there's a shipping discount depending on how much you purchase.

The best coupons are usually in the Sunday newspaper.
I'm with you, I don't like giving my personal info online (although you sometimes CAN get stuff cheap or even free).
A cleaning-products tip … white vinegar is the best and cheapest all-purpose cleaning product you will ever find.
As far as food-items … if you're not stuck on particular brands, often store-brand items are cheaper (at their regular price) than a name-brand item would be, even with a coupon. And the quality is just as good, sometimes even better.
Some items that you can easily save $$$ on by purchasing store-brand are canned fruits and vegetables, pasta, rice, gravies and sauces, soups, canned meats like tuna and chicken, frozen foods (french fries, hashbrowns, etc. and frozen veggies), breakfast pastries and cereals (check out the Malt O' Meal brand … incredibly cheap and really GOOD!)
Also, learn to shop the weekly specials at your supermarket. Buy what is on sale (buy an extra to stock up, if you can) and plan your meals around that. You'll quickly learn that most stores "feature" a particular brand of an item (cheese, for example) each week. Also check to see what items at the deli-counter and the meat-department (if you use them) are "featured." Buy whatever brand is featured, and pick up an extra!
If there is a Dollar Tree store near you, check that out for both cleaning products and food items.
Learning to budget is a process, and before long you'll be an expert! And believe me … everyone loves to save a buck, and do you really NEED high-priced toilet paper?

Sunday papers. Most stores will not honor on line coupons. Ask the manager what the store policy is.
Check store sales papers in Wednesday and Sunday papers. Check the dates of their sales. Some stores have their sales starting Wednesday to Sunday.Others start their sales on Friday. Check sales dates carefully.
Always shop with a list and stick to it. Never shop for groceries when you are hungry. This is for real, it is not a joke.
Save the sales papers and comparison shop. On your list note the stores you want to shop at and for what. However take into account the cost of driving too far to save just a few pennies. Gas will soon be $4.a gallon.
Register at each store for their frequent shopper cards. Very often you will only get the advertised sale price if you show the cashier that card.
IMPORTANT! Before you leave the store check your register receipt against all the stuff you have bought. I have been charged for stuff I not only did not buy, but the store did not have in stock. I have been given change for a ten dollar bill when I gave the cashier a twenty.(I only had twenties) Recheck the shelf prices. Sales prices are very specific. If you think you have been overcharged check that you bought the exact item and size that was advertised.
DO NOT HESITATE TO ASK TO SEE THE MANAGER. Do not yell or accuse. Say that you believe there has been a mistake and show him/her where you believe it is wrong and ask if you are correct and can it be straightened out.
