Some stores have Xbox Kiosks. You can bring a memory card and buy xbox merchandise from them. Check Gamestop, Walmart, or Bestbuy.

You could also go to a hotel. Most have ethernet or wifi. If you have wifi on your xbox, try using the breakfast room tv at a hotel. If you go at night, they are less likely to care if you are staying there or not. Also if you have a laptop with media center, you could plug your xbox into your laptop. Then you could take it to a Starbucks or any other WiFi hotspot.
