The price of steel is high right now. Most people are junking cars like this instead of going through the bother of selling them.

Have you located a kit to convert this to hydrogen or are you going to engineer one yourself?

I hope you aren't talking about those "Run your car on water" kits. Can you say "Gullible"

As the saying goes - If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

Every time the price of gas spikes, you see more and more of these devices advertised.

There were lots of them in the middle 70s during the oil embargo and gas prices spiked. They didn't work then, they don't work now.

The current batch of devices claim to work by using electrolysis to separate hydrogen gas from water then feed it into your intake manifold. The rip-off is that an automotive electrical system does not produce enough electricity for the system to manufacture enough hydrogen to make any difference.

Stop and think about it. If there were a device that really worked, the automobile manufacturers would be all over it. If General Motors, for example, could put a device in their vehicles that would give them a fuel efficiency advantage over their competition, they would buy up the patents and have them in every vehicle they make.

They would not be sold on some obscure website by some person selling them out of their garage.

About the only place you'll find a car for $300 is an impound or towing yard. They sell cars that people abandon, and generally, the only cars people abandon are cars that are worth less than the towing and storage fees due.

Good luck converting to hydrogen. Let me know how you're going to create .5 miliamps at 20,000 cycles per second. That's where I got hung up. I know it can be done, but I'm just not too smart when it comes to electricity.

honestly, you get what you pay for, especially with car purchases… if you want something that will actualy get you from pt. A to pt. B and back again, you may need to look at spending a little more money. You can check out auto trader online, look in the under $5000.00 category.
