February 15th, 2009 · 5 Comments

I live in Connecticut and would like to buy or adopt a Himalayan Cat or Siamese Cat specifically, but i dont know where to get one. It has to be a baby, and non expensive. I wanted to get it from a breeder, but it is always so expensive. Is there a place in Ct where i can get one of those cats, or another kind, withing $200??? Please Help!!!!!

try your local rescue shelter, they tend to have the best pets

Try your local shelter. You can get full breds and mixed breeds there, on occasion. There are thousands of Siamese/ mixes in rescues that need good homes, and they are just as loving if not more than ones from breeders. I encourage you to try there first.

I am not familiar with that area, but I suggest going to a certified breeder. They know what they are doing and they will have healthy kittens. Plus, you have specific breeds you want. sometimes, you just have to look for a better price. unfortunatly, those cats may be $400-$600.

There are sometimes stray full breed cats that are left after their owners got kicked out of their houses (economic crisis). You could get lucky. you could also get an older cat at a shelter, because most of the time the older cats dont get picked, because people want kittens. they range from $60-$200.
