i am catholic and i need a new purity ring as my other one dosnt fit anymore. the catholic shop i bought it from has closed down and i would like to know if i can buy it from a protestant shop even though im catholic
kirby: i totally agree with you that premarital sex and under age sex is agains catholiscism but i have a purity ring to show my promise to God to abstain from sex before marriage as said in the bible, i belive that sex is somthing you should be in a comitted relationship with some one for. Marriage is the most comitted you can be to someone, so according to my belief system, one is supposed to save yourself untill marriage

Yes. I don’t think anyone at the protestant shop is going to ask for verification that you are protestant and not catholic.

I don’t see why not. A ring is a ring. Unless it has some bigotted anti-catholic rhetoric printed on it, it should be the same.
Make sure you know about safe sex as well. God will forgive you for a moment of passion (if you happen to think that’s wrong), but you don’t want to end up pregnant or with a VD. The knowledge won’t make you more likely to have sex, just like putting on a seatbelt won’t make you more likely to drive recklessly.

I think the Purity Ring is just about one of the stupidest concepts I have ever heard. The ring is a meaningless symbol. You could be the loosest woman on earth and wear a purity ring.
THAT BEING SAID, it is refreshing to know that there is at least one young Catholic girl out there who will not someday say, "I got pregnant having premarital sex because birth control is against my religion", as if having premarital sex were not. You would not believe just how many pregnant Catholic teens I have heard say that they got pregnant because birth control was against their religion. I seriously just want to slap them for being so obtuse.

Buy your purity ring anywhere you want… they’re all made by godless Chinese communists, anyway.
