Where can I buy a Babysense ll breathing monitor connector cable? Alarm went off 5 times last night and has me worried sick, I want to start using two pads via the instructions given by the helpline, but I’ve just discovered the cable didnt come in the box.. Can I just use a telstra connector cable? Is it the same thing?

i had a tommee tippee breathing monitor and that kept happening to me, we ried everything the helpline suggested and nothing worked, we later found out it was happening because baby monitors use the same 2.4ghz frequency as wireless internet, if you have wireless or there are a few connections around you this could be why you are having the alarms go off.

I honestly don’t know the answer and I apologise in advance if what I write just annoys you (I know I hate when I get responses that have nothing to do with my question)

I just wanted to tell you that when my daughter was around 3-4 weeks her breathing monitor started going off heaps…it scared the hell out of us especially considering it had been fine up until then. We took her to the doc and ER but nothing was wrong with her. They told us that since she was not blue when we picked her up then chances were she was breathing fine.
I watched her VERY carefully and I actually saw her breathing the whole time (20 seconds) before the monitor went off… I haven’t used the monitor since.
I’m not saying don’t use the monitor as I know how hard it is especially once you’ve gotten an alarm. Just don’t think of the alarm as saying “quick…your baby is not breathing” but “hey…come and check your baby…I’m sure he/she is fine but just check in case”
And when you go in check to see if you can see him/her breathing and check his/her colour before you pick him/her up.

Like I said…sorry if that advice is unwanted I just wanted to (hopefully) reassure you a little bit)

When your a mother your maternal instinct kicks in and you will instinctively know when your baby is not right. I have had 4 children and could hear every breath they took and the slightest sound they would make would wake me. Baby monitors are a hassle the slightest interference will set them off; trust your instinct and your baby will be fine. If you follow all of the SIDs rules then there is nothing to worry about.
