You'll have to go to the liquor store to buy kahlua (at least in my state). Sorry, but I can't help with the other items. Good luck on your cake.

Rules for purchasing liquor vary from state to state. In most states you would need to buy Kahlua and Marsala Wine at a liquor or ABC store. I would not recommend using Marsala Wine in your tiramisu… that is not one of the ingredients.

Wal Mart is not going to have Marscipone cheese… and really, if you are trying to make a good product you don't want to buy your stuff at Wal Mart anyway. Your best bet is to go to a nice grocery store in the area, you might even need to visit a specialty Italian cheese shop for the marscipone if you can not find it in your local grocery store.

My advice, for food… avoid Wal Mart at all costs! Here is a good recipe if you need it… reference this because it seems like some of your ingredients are off!

      4 ounces bittersweet chocolate
      3 large egg yolks
3 tablespoons granulated sugar, plus 2 tablespoons sugar, plus 1 teaspoon
1 1/4 cups sweet dessert wine, such as Vin Santo
      2 large egg whites
1/4 cup cooled brewed espresso, or other strong coffee blend
      1 cup ricotta
      1 cup heavy cream
      4 to 5 ounces ladyfingers
      Cocoa powder, garnish
Chocolate-dipped coffee beans, garnish, recipe follows

Place the chocolate in the top of a double boiler or in a bowl set over a pot of simmering water, and stir until melted. Remove from the heat and cool to room temperature.

In the top of a double boiler or in a bowl set over a pot of simmering water, beat the egg yolks and 3 tablespoons of sugar until pale yellow and frothy. Add 1/2 cup of the wine and whip until thick, being careful not to let the mixture boil. Remove from the heat and fold in the chocolate. Cool to room temperature.

In a medium bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form, and fold into the cooled custard mixture.

In a bowl, combine the coffee, ricotta, and 2 tablespoons sugar and set aside.

In a separate bowl, whip the cream until soft peaks form. Add the remaining teaspoon of sugar and whip until stiff peaks form.

Dip the ladyfingers into the remaining 3/4 cup of dessert wine and arrange them in the bottom of a square 9-inch baking dish. Cover with half of the ricotta, half of the custard, and half of the whipped cream. Repeat with the remaining ingredients, ending with whipped cream on top. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until set, at least 3 hours.

To serve, sift the cocoa powder evenly over the top and decorate with the chocolate coffee beans. Cut into equal pieces and serve.

      Chocolate-Dipped Coffee Beans:
      6 ounces semisweet chocolate
1 cup dark roasted coffee beans

In the top of a double boiler set over simmering water, melt the chocolate, stirring until smooth.

Remove from the heat and let cool and thicken slightly.

In batches, drop the beans into the melted chocolate, coating completely on all sides. Remove and place on a baking sheet lined with waxed paper. Let dry completely.

Store in an airtight container at room temperature.

Kahlua comes from the liquor store. Any coffee-flavored liqueur will work as a substitute. Marsala is a dessert wine, so depending on the laws in your state, you might have to buy it from the liquor store also.

Lady fingers will be in the bakery at the grocery store, if they have them. Mascarpone cheese will be with the ricotta cheese, if the store carries it. You might have to try a gourmet grocery store if your regular grocery store doesn't have it.

Kahlua is a hard liquor so you'll have to go to a liquor store. You can, however, find kahlua flavored creamers at most grocery stores (add a little to the cheese to flavor it). Marscapone cheese and marsala wine may be hard to find at wal-mart–it depends if you live in a wet county or not. However, if you are near a Central Market you should be able to find everything you'll need. Lady fingers should be found anywhere, possibly near the bakery (pre-made, pre-packaged baked goods) or near the cake mix aisle. Marscapone (if found at wal-mart) should be in the deli refrigerator (where they have the "fancy" cheese) or near the ricotta/cream/cottage cheeses.
      Good luck with your cooking!

In California, you can buy Kahlua at Walmart. I live in Texas now though, and our county does NOT sell any liquor (just wine & beer)…. so, it depends where you live. You should be able to find Marsala in the wine department; ladyfingers are usually in the fresh bakery department (but could be on the cookie aisle); mascapone cheese would be with the "specialty" cheeses. You might have better luck if you went to Kroger, or whatever your good-quality supermarket is there……..

      KahlĂșa

      2 cups granulated sugar
      2 cups water
1/2 cup water (yes that's right)
1/4 cup instant coffee (not freeze dried)
      1 fifth brandy
      1/2 vanilla bean

Boil 2 cups water and sugar for 5 minutes. Add coffee and 1/2 cup water. Let cool.
Add brandy and vanilla bean. Let set for at least 6 days.

      Make your own.

But just like all the others have said on here and gotten a thumbs down for…in a liquor store. It IS a liquor and sold in liquor stores.
