Where to buy Mexican Pesos?

I am leaving for Mazatlan at 5am tomorrow(9th) never been there before. I suddenly realized I did not get any Pesos from the bank. Is it OK buying Pesos with US dollars when I’m there or could I get ripped off?

      you don’t buy pesos.
      go to an exchange. there is one in every good airport.
      use an american (i’m an aussie but i’m guessing you are american) airport if you are scared of getting ripped off.
      if u have time compare exchange fees. Peace.

      You can pay with American dollars in Mexico. You don’t need Pesos!

      you can use US dollars over in Mexico just remember $1=about 12 pesos
      or at an airport exchange your US money for pesos
