  Gun stores generally carry the better brands of pepper spray. I don’t know if there are gun stores in the NY area though. There are different types, some that shoot a stream like a squirt gun, some that spray a forceful mist, some that spray a foam or gel. They come in different sizes and shapes. They all have their pros and cons and generally gun store people are knowledgeable and want to help you.

  I bought a really cute pink can of pepper spray on a key ring for 10$ at Sports Chalet. It’s pink for breast cancer awareness.
