So I'm looking into getting my gf a promise ring (and I'm also on a limited budget). Now I've been looking online and I've found them as cheap at $40 all the way up into the thousands but if possible I'd like to buy it at a local store so I can see the product up front. Now I'm wondering what type of stores are going to be my best bet (besides high end jewelry stores). Preferably in Iowa though not limited to.
Also, what would be the best idea for a stone?

i have one.. i went online and looked everywhere, but you really can go to a local jewlery store and just get a new one and call it your promise ring. thats what i did and then i ingraved " true love waits". so its basiclay a real promise ring, but its also personalized
