Other than indian stores, where can i buy sesame oil that would have the indian flavour…i have not tried any other sesame oil yet and a little sceptical if it would taste good. Please suggest if it can be obtained in any grocery store like walmart , Costco etc

I have found it in grocery stores that have a health food section. Some stores that carry a diverse amount of goods will just carry it next to the oils also.

Usually in our grocery store the sesame oils are in the Thai/Asian/Indian section. We can find it at Market Basket, Stop & Shop, Hannaford. Sorry not sure where you are, I’m in Boston. It’s pretty easy to find around here. Our grocery stores have very good international sections.

I usually just buy sesame oil at my regular grocery store. I shop at Albertsons, but any store should carry it. It will probably either be by the olive oil or in the “Asian” section near the soy sauce. I’ve never had any gourmet sesame oils, but the stuff I get at my store tastes great!

costco didn’t have it, but any grocery store like kroger or meijer or any specialized grocery store like nino’s or whole foods.

I have bought it from Safeway, Giant, and Shopper’s Food Warehouse. It’s shelved in the international section where you find soy sauce.
