Check out local antique shops as well as prop shops in a city near you. A lot of times, people will lend you something for a small fee, and when you’re done, you return it. No prop shops? Check out the local university…if they have a theatre program, they are bound to be able to know how to help you, or can even give you advice on how to build something that will help you.
