Where to buy true crime books?

September 5th, 2008 · 2 Comments

*I hope I put this in the right place!*

My mom loves to read true crime books, so I was wondering if there was a place where you could purchase true crime books through the mail by check or money order.

Please, don’t suggest Amazon. ;D

Thank you!

Patterson Smith is the nation’s leading true crime bookseller, tho specializing in out-of-print titles:

Check the true crime sections of catalogs of Barnes & Noble, Edward R. Hamilton (inexpensive remaindered titles), etc.

Look for websites of true crime authors.

Some museums sell true crime books in their gift shops. Good places to contact here include the National Museum of Crime & Punishment in Washington, D.C., the Newseum (a journalism museum, also in D.C.), and the Gangster Museum of America in Hot Springs, AR. All have websites with contact info.
