I`m from Brazil, actually living in San Diego. So, I don`t really know what it is winter and I`m kinda lost! I`ve read a lot of things(dress up in layers and warm up hands, feet, head, nose..) But what exactly type of boots and gloves do i need? Leather gloves? Does the boots need to have rubber bottom so I don`t slip? Another point, no one never says WHERE to buy those things if I`m here in San Diego. Where can I find those things? Is it cheaper down here in San Diego or NY?
I would appreciate your help!

Walmart the place to get everything you need all at once and affordable. Especially when you are going somewhere new it is best to be generic, for you won’t know what you wish to where until you get to the environment and blend. But for now get the sweaters, and pants, and boots, warm scarves, gloves, etc.

Well I live in WAshington state and it’s always rainy and cold here, never really snowing though. What we often wear are long wool type jackets, leather knee high boots, leather or wool gloves, matching hates, and scares.

i model a few times a year in NY city and if you are going in January thru March it is VERY cold. You need a wool coat, a hat and a scarf for around your neck. Dec can be a little cold too. the wind blows in the city. you can find the items online if your stores do not carry them. you don’t need rubber bottom boots. just regular shoes and socks. NO one there wears snow boots unless its a blizzard or in upstate New York, in NYC just shoes

it doesnt snow very much in new york so you wont need snow boots, just wear shoes that cover your feet such as sneakers or fashion boots, with a shirt, pants, sweater, and a outer jacket thats either a puffer or a pea/wool coat, with any scarf and gloves, you can buy such things anywhere such as target, department stores, the mall… etc, and i dont know about san diego but you dont pay tax on purchases under a certain amount in nyc.
