Where’s a good place to buy affordable hair extensions?

October 6th, 2008 · 6 Comments

I want them to look good, but I can’t spend a lot of money on them. Do the fake ones look bad? What are the price ranges? My aunt is a hair dresser, could she maybe get me some at a cheaper price? I need ones that I can straighten & curl.
Yes I know Hot Topic has some for like 6 dollars, those are fake & look fake & they're not a full head, so that's not an option, plus you can't straighten those. I've gotten purple extensions from there before. I need a full head of them, dark brown.
Well you can straighten the hot topic ones, but they melt if you do it for too long & they're pretty crappy.
Where's Sally's?

      There ARE clip in hair extensions from Sally’s beauty supplies that you can curl and straighten. they are about 60 dollars or something for a whole head. and they look nice and real and last a long time! my friend has them and i adore them! good luck!

      Well.=]
      Extensions are expensive.
      No two ways about it, price ranges vary on where you get them, so just shop around.=]

      Well if she is a hairdresser, then she might be able to go to places who will accept her discount card thing, but I dont think you can just go to any store and get a cheaper price.

      If you need some to straighten and curl then you need the real hair kind, which are usually the more expensive type.

      Synthetic with melt.=]

      Sally's or Hot Topic.
      I got a pink and blue, raccoon tailed one
      and a magenta on from hot topic.
      They come two to a pack, the curl, they straighten,
      they blow dry, and they look like the real thing.
      My friends are constantly asking if it my real hair.[:

      [Hot Topic ones are around $5 - $11]
